Long-term investments are future-oriented, support processes to mitigate climate change, promote the economical use of limited resources and strive for fair global growth. The Julius Baer “Sustainability” Special Mandates focus on issues such as environment, social responsibility and economy.
Investment universe
The “Sustainability” Special Mandates are designed and managed according to the client’s specifica-tions. For example, they allow you to specify asset classes or markets in which you do not wish to invest your capital. Together with the investment specialist, you can also define an individual bench-mark.
The “Sustainability” Special Mandates invest in all the traditional asset classes with a clear focus on direct investments. The largest part of the equities investment universe comprises securities from the FTSE4Good Index, which includes the best socially responsible investment companies in their sectors (industry leaders). To a lesser extent, innovators determine the share universe, i.e. companies whose products and services significantly improve ecological or social conditions.
The fixed income universe comprises company bonds and bonds issued by parastatals from countries which respect the human rights conventions. Within alternative investments, investments are only made in commodities (such as timber) and in private equity.
